Are you prepared for an emergency or death?
Having an organized plan when an emergency strikes can ease the burden for grieving family members and enable them to handle your affairs the way you intended. A family binder can be used to keep track of information, accounts, wishes, notes, etc. Anything you may want people to know in the event of an emergency or death can be kept here. Click here to learn more about the family binder.
We are offering a special “Family Binder” workshop hosted by Dani Hussung, Financial Assistant. During this workshop, you will receive your own buildable binder. Here is what this binder provides for you and your family…
Purpose
- A centralized resource for recording critical instructions and information, ensuring your family or caregivers are equipped to act during emergencies, illness, or end-of-life transitions.
Key Components
- Vital Records: Names and contact details for legal, financial, and medical professionals
- Access Guides: Directions to physical and digital storage for POAs, wills, and trust documents.
- Financial Map: Location and access details for bank accounts, insurance policies, and assets.
Personal Legacy
- Final Wishes: Explicit instructions regarding end-of-life preferences.
- Dependents & Pets: Detailed care instructions for family members, or animals.
- Personal Notes: Meaningful messages or legacy letters for survivors.
Financial Wellness Manager, Lisa Kellum, will also share information from the perspective of a Power of Attorney and Trustee, including why completing the Family Binder is so important and how it makes a difference in an unexpected crisis or the death of a loved one.
