Kathryn joined the Storen Financial team in 2023, bringing with her a solid foundation in accounting and financial management. Hailing from Valparaiso in “The Region,” she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from Purdue North Central. With experience in public accounting at Ernst & Young and corporate financial planning and analysis at a regional airline, Kathryn obtained her CPA license in 2017, positioning herself as a knowledgeable resource in the field.
In her current role, Kathryn specializes in tax preparation and planning for small businesses and rental property clients. She is adept at ensuring that all eligible deductions are accurately captured and provides guidance on utilizing QuickBooks effectively. Kathryn is well-versed in preparing Schedule C and Schedule E forms, making the complexities of tax filings more manageable for her clients. Her aim is to demystify the tax process, helping individuals navigate potential challenges. If clients receive unexpected notices or letters from the IRS or State Department of Revenues, Kathryn is fully licensed to advocate on their behalf, providing peace of mind during stressful situations.
In addition to her tax expertise, Kathryn is passionate about empowering clients to take control of their personal finances. She offers support in creating effective budgets, optimizing cash flow, and developing strategies to minimize debt, all while aligning financial plans with client goals.
Kathryn and her husband are big Dave Ramsey fans. You can often find them listening to his podcasts, teaching Financial Peace University, and helping others pursue financial freedom through classes at their church. They also love to travel and have visited all 50 states. The absolute joy in their family, though, comes from their three young kids. They spend most nights outside driving Power Wheels and hanging out with neighborhood friends.
