Business Accountant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a self-motivated Accountant to assist with the accounting needs of our business clients. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and a desire to help business owners manage their businesses, and their books, and prepare their monthly financial reports. Must be willing to work with a variety of clients and can focus in a busy, on-the-go environment.

We’re searching for a team member who can not only execute the duties and responsibilities of this position in an exceptional manner but believes in and demonstrates core Storen Financial values and ethics.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
• Perform tax return data entry using Thomson Reuters Ultra Tax software.
• Consult with small business clients to help determine financial and tax improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address queries and provide support.
• Problem-solve, troubleshoot, and suggest process improvements to maximize efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
• Participate in team meetings and events that support internal consistency, teamwork and create an enjoyable work atmosphere.

Ongoing Education and Training:

• Complete or exceed minimum continuing education requirements annually.
• Become QuickBooks Online certified.

Education and Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper working with multiple clients simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Microsoft Office.
• QuickBooks Online certification is a plus.
• Tax preparation experience a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce a plus.

Pay:

• $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
