Guest speakers share ways to manage stress

Tax season for tax professionals can involve long hours and an intense work load so we can best meet our clients’ tax planning needs. Our team prepared for this by inviting in two guest speakers, to share about ways to manage stress, stay in good health and keep moving throughout the work day. We appreciated the knowledge and advice shared with our team, by Dr. Nick Moore, Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and owner of Restore Life, and Dawn Parker, Functional Medicine Health Coach.

Dr. Nick shared sound advice on the importance of staying physically, mentally and socially fit. He offered a variety of stretches and ideas on how to keep moving!

Dawn offered insight into recommended healthy snacks and drinks, including alternatives to sugary soda drinks. We held taste testing sessions to sample a variety of suggested drinks, snacks and chocolate treats that we prepared from her authored book, The Healthy Chocoholic Cookbook. A good takeaway for chocolate lovers is that dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao is a good answer for your sweet tooth. Yum!
