Senior Tax Accountant (CPA / EA)

*Seasonal or permanent positions are available as we are interested in both full time and part time candidates. Salary is negotiable. Remote working and flexible work hours are acceptable and may be preferred depending upon candidate’s unique situation and location.


We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing, forward-thinking and family-oriented team. The responsibilities include reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and managing a team of tax preparers. The Senior Tax Accountant will be able to apply the best tax strategies that comply with laws, promote our client’s best interest, communicate with our team about industry changes, meet deadlines, and be an integral part of our high performing team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare, finalize or approve tax returns
  • Communicate with clients to assess and finalize tax needs
  • Work with specific clients on IRS and State resolutions
  • Track tax industry trends and regulation changes
  • Problem solve, troubleshoot and suggest process improvements in order to maximize efficiency while maintaining accuracy
  • Participate in weekly team meetings

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience completing, analyzing, or correcting complex tax returns
  • Experience managing a tax preparation staff
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients
  • Technology driven and willingness to learn new technology and software programs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Loyalty and belief in company, services and team within a client-focused culture
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Proficient in using tax software, UltraTax a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce software experience a plus


  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of tax preparation experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred but not required


  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • CPA or EA License


  • Full-time position
  • Salary with commissions – range of $70,000 – $110,000
